Mrs Alexandra Taylor

In regard to recent work that Selectrix have completed on 2 properties this year I have no hesitation in offering this reference or recommendation!

From the word go, I was made to feel utterly confident in Steve’s abilities. His honest approach to what needed to be done and realistic time scale meant that he completed the work on time, within budget and (importantly for me) with the minimal disruption. Whilst other electricians had tried to tear down our ceilings Steve’s exceptionally tidy and accurate work meant that we were able to keep our ceilings and sanity intact!

His approach to the work and getting the job done was most impressive and he managed to complete jobs in days when we had been quoted weeks+ by others.

It has been some months since Steve first did work for us, and I can offer a guarantee that we have had absolutely no problems – testament to his attention to detail and finishing the job properly!

I cannot recommend Steve’s services highly enough and would not hesitate to use him again on any of our properties.

Mrs Janina Iman

Steve has worked as my electrician for the last 2 years. He has undertaken all manner of domestic installation and maintenance work at my 6 rental flats in West London.

Working alongside the property manager and letting agent, Steve has carried out emergency electrical work (fault finding), remedial work following a periodic inspection and test (that he was also able to carry out). He has worked on the electrical maintenance associated with flat refurbs in between tenancies, and also quarterly inspections and tests of the fire alarm and emergency lighting.

In addition to this, Steve’s wealth of experience and friendly manner mean that I also use him in an advisory capacity. He is able to talk me through the plethora of electrical rules and regulations associated not only with domestic work, but also with the further complications of a house of multiple occupancy. He explains these issues clearly and without the jargon that is so regularly associated with such matters.

He is always conscious of costs and always advises me on the most cost-effective way to carry out the work required. In addition to this he is also mindful of disruption to the residents and tries to ensure that this is kept to a minimum.

He is a pleasure to work with, always well presented, polite and on time. He remains professional even when faced with awkward tenants or difficult situations. He is always keen and eager to get on with the job, and keeps me and the property manager updated along the way. I live abroad, so this is absolutely imperative.

I would heartily recommend Selectrix Electrical Services to anybody.

Mr Philip Cox-Hynd

Rather than just say you did a fantastic job (which you did!) I want to point out some specifics so others may grasp what makes my experience of your work so positive.

In many ways the job at my house was especially challenging, or would have been for most electricians, as I asked you to come in and sort out some faults left by a previous building firm, who left with out finishing a four month refurbishment on my home.

You were very methodical, finding the main faults in a few hours, where as the previous builder had had 3 different electricians in who said ceilings would have to come down and it would take a couple of days!

Your attitude is very positive; ‘can do’ even when you don’t yet know how exactly, you were very reassuring to me that it could be done.

You work quietly, to a very high professional standard and tidily, clearing up meticulously after any mess you have had to cause. You also went to great lengths to keep mess to a minimum.

I particularly liked the way you were so ‘up front’ about, your day rate, time it may take, work involved and if you didn’t know stuff, you would tell me that as well until you did know; this all made me feel involved and up to date with progress.

Finally you have a great work ethic; you always arrived when you said you would and stayed until 4.30, 5.30 i.e. at a suitable break in what you were doing as opposed to the, ‘it’s 4 o’clock and I am off!’ attitude, that I have experienced before. I liked your parting comment in reply to me saying, ‘did you have a cup of tea today?’ you said ‘oh I didn’t have time for tea, I had work to do!’

You are a credit to your profession!
